The Vivobarefoot Sensus II Grounding for men are barefoot shoes designed for practising Grounding and Earthing while maintaining your connection with the earth.
This practice offers greater relaxation, relief from inflammation, improved rest, and reduced stress and anxiety, helping you achieve a greater sense of balance and well-being.
You will enjoy the benefits of walking barefoot on grass, sand, stone, or other natural surfaces without having to take off your shoes.
Move, strengthen your feet, and clear your mind every day as you walk. Without even noticing.
Men’s leather barefoot shoes for walking closer to the ground
The Vivobarefoot Sensus II Grounding Men are men’s leather barefoot shoes designed for walking with a direct, simple and very close-to-ground feel. They are not sports shoes. They are not rigid dress shoes. They are not a thick sole trying to convince you that you do not have feet.
They are exactly the opposite.
Less structure.
Less noise.
More foot.
More ground.
This model comes from a very old idea: footwear as minimal protection, not as a modern cage. Vivobarefoot brings it into a current shoe made from chrome-free Wild Hide leather, with laces, a leather footbed and a 3 mm Sensus sole that brings you closer to the terrain than most everyday shoes.
If you are looking for men’s barefoot shoes for walking, travelling, moving through the city and feeling more in every step, the Sensus II Grounding Men have a very clear place within the Vivobarefoot range.
They are not made for running.
They are not made for training.
They are not made for mountains.
They are made for living barefoot in everyday life. With leather, with a simple style and with such a direct feeling that it seems as if the shoe steps aside to let the foot work.
What makes the Vivobarefoot Sensus II Grounding Men different
The difference of the Vivobarefoot Sensus II Grounding Men lies in their radical simplicity. They are leather barefoot shoes with a very clean construction: no insole, a leather footbed and a thin sole designed to increase connection with the ground.
That changes the experience a lot.
In many urban shoes, the foot is separated from the world by layers of foam, reinforcements, narrow shapes, thick insoles and soles that filter everything. They may seem comfortable, yes. But that comfort often comes from switching the foot off.
Not here.
The 3 mm Sensus sole allows a very close feel to the terrain. The absence of an insole brings the foot even closer to the ground. The wide toe box gives the toes real space. And the Wild Hide leather adapts with use, creating a more organic feel than many rigid synthetic materials.
It is not a shoe for someone who wants to hide the foot.
It is for someone who wants to use it.
And you notice that when walking. You feel the support more. You feel the texture more. You feel how the foot moves, adjusts and takes part.
Grounding technology for connecting with natural surfaces
The word Grounding is not in the name for aesthetics. In the Sensus II Grounding Men, Vivobarefoot includes conductive technology designed to encourage connection with natural surfaces such as soil, grass, sand or stone.
This should be explained without turning it into smoke.
It does not mean you are connected to the planet while walking on a pavement, in an office or in a shopping centre. For grounding to make sense, you need natural surfaces. That is where this model aims to recover a more direct relationship between body, foot and terrain.
The practical experience is very simple: a thin, flexible shoe, without an insole and with conductive technology that allows you to feel more when walking on suitable surfaces.
More texture.
More presence.
More information underfoot.
It is not about looking more natural.
It is about walking with less interference.
Sensus II Grounding Men compared with Gobi, Ra, Primus Lite and Sensus Yin
The Vivobarefoot Sensus II Grounding Men have a very specific role within Vivobarefoot’s everyday models. And it is worth understanding this so you do not mix them up with other shoes made for different needs.
They are not Gobi. Gobi has a more urban, more structured focus, closer to a classic casual shoe. The Sensus II Grounding Men are thinner, more sensory and more radical in their barefoot feel.
They are not Ra. Ra has a more formal character, more oriented towards office, work or dressing with a classic aesthetic. The Sensus II Grounding Men are more relaxed, more artisanal and closer to a barefoot moccasin for calm use.
They are not Primus Lite. Primus Lite is designed for training, gym, asphalt and active life. The Sensus II Grounding Men are for walking, travelling and living everyday life with more ground feel, not for training.
They are not Sensus Yin. The Yin family has a more open approach, more like a slide or sandal depending on the version. The Sensus II Grounding Men are closed, leather and lace-up, for anyone who wants to cover the foot without losing that extreme barefoot feeling.
This avoids confusion.
If you want something more formal, look at Ra.
If you want a more structured urban shoe, look at Gobi.
If you want to train, look at Primus Lite.
If you want a men’s leather barefoot shoe, very thin, very flexible and with grounding technology, this is where the Sensus II Grounding Men come in.
Who these men’s barefoot shoes are for
The Vivobarefoot Sensus II Grounding Men are for men who want very natural, lightweight and flexible everyday footwear. For those who already value barefoot footwear or want a much more direct feeling than a conventional urban shoe.
They work very well for city walking, calm strolls, travel, spring, summer, casual use, relaxed days and moments when you want the foot protected without feeling that you have locked it inside a rigid structure.
They are also for anyone who enjoys walking barefoot at home and wants to take part of that feeling outside. With no insole and a sole of only 3 mm, the foot receives much more information than in models with more layers underfoot.
That said, they are not for everything.
They are not for running. They are not for training. They are not for mountain routes. They are not for heavy rain. They are not for harsh cold. They are not for anyone looking for cushioning, support or a sole that filters everything happening underfoot.
If you come from very cushioned conventional footwear, it is worth making a gradual transition. Here, the foot works more and feels more. That is exactly the good part, but also what needs to be respected.
If you are looking for passive comfort, foam and disconnection from the ground, they are not your model.
If you want sensitivity, freedom and a more real stride, then yes.
A leather barefoot moccasin for walking without unnecessary layers
The Sensus II Grounding Men have something unusual in modern footwear: they do not try to impress through volume.
They do not elevate.
They do not correct.
They do not over-cushion.
They do not disguise the foot.
They simply let it move.
The chrome-free Wild Hide leather offers a soft and adaptable feel. The leather footbed allows you to wear them with a very direct sensation, even without socks if you enjoy that more natural contact. The thin sole encourages sensitivity. And the wide toe box prevents the toes from ending up squeezed as if they had entered a full lift too late.
It is a shoe for walking with less hurry, if you want.
For feeling more.
For travelling light.
For dressing simply without giving up a real barefoot feel.
Because very often the best shoe is not the one that does more things.
It is the one that stops getting in the way.

Care and maintenance of Vivobarefoot Sensus II Grounding Men
Materials: as they are made with chrome-free Wild Hide leather, a leather footbed and a thin Sensus sole, it is best to remove dust or surface dirt with a soft brush after more intense use. If stains appear, clean them with a slightly damp cloth, avoiding soaking the leather.
Care products: to protect the leather and help maintain its water resistance, you can use a leather protector such as Vivobarefoot Repel or a specific leather product. Do not use bleach, harsh detergents or strong chemical products.
Always let them dry at room temperature. Avoid radiators, tumble dryers, direct sunlight and any intense heat source, as this may damage the leather, adhesives and shoe structure. It is also advisable to avoid prolonged exposure to water, salt and harsh chemicals.
