Vibram Five Fingers EL-X Knit

The Five Fingers EL-X is a thin, breathable and lightweight shoe, perfect for walking and fitness activities. The sole of only 3 mm of rubber Vibram TC-1 provides resistance to the slide and a great response. The sole is reinforced by an EVA insole that provides extra protection and comfort. The upper mesh is breathable and made of elastic fabric to ensure a comfortable and flexible fit. The toes have TPU protection, and the interior is treated with coconut active carbon fibre to control bad odours.

Upper and Fit

The upper part of the EL-X is a very fine mesh that has a soft touch against the skin. While previous FiveFingers models without laces might present some difficulty in wearing them, the mesh of the EL-X is very elastic, which makes the shoe very easy to slide on and fit your toes. It also has modest, thin rubber reinforcements on the top of the toes to improve puncture and tear resistance.

The thin, elastic ankle collar has just the right amount of adjustment so you don't feel too tight, and once on your foot, the top feels like a second skin. If it weren't for the rubber sole, you wouldn't notice anything on your foot.

The EL-X shoe is very flexible, which will help you improve your footfall, in addition to the individual cavities for each toe, it will help you improve your balance and give your toes a natural movement, with all this your foot will be strengthened.

Sole

In addition to being the lightest shoe from FiveFingers, the EL-X also has the thinnest Vibram sole to date at only 2.7 mm. Combined with a 2mm sockliner, the overall pile height is less than 5mm - and with complete flexibility, the floor feel is outstanding with this shoe.

It also features a new pattern on the Vibram sole that, despite its thinness, provides a very solid grip on all dry surfaces, including roads, groomed paths and indoor hardwood or gym floors.
