Vivobarefoot Primus Trail FG SwimRun
Vivobarefoot are the official partners for ÖTILLÖ Swimrun. The race consists of a 75km race, between 26 islands, over land and sea, with pairs of competitors connected by a 10m cord. Swimrun was born on the Archipelago islands in Sweden, after Mats Anderson and his old buddy made a drunken bet, and raced from one end of the islands to the other. Today, ÖTILLÖ Swimrun consists of a series of international events, culminating in the world championship final back in Sweden, where it all began.
Vivobarefoot revolutionizes mountain runs with two types of soles focused on very different terrains. The Primus SwimRun FG uses the Firm Ground (FG) outsole designed for running on hard, stony, dry or wet terrain. With small lugs evenly distributed throughout the sole, to feel more tread and ensure an optimal grip in both dry and wet trails. This sole has been made from recycled tires to ensure durability and eco-friendly policy.
Upper and Lower
The mesh of the Primus SwimRun FG consists of several layers that provide lightness, comfort and high breathability. To give body and reinforce certain areas, the shoe has heat-sealed TPU strips that provide durability and weight.
It has a removable 3mm recycled foam insole to offer extra protection according to the weather and terrain. Remove it to feel the ground. Leave it on for a little more warmth.
The Primus SwimRun FG focuses the midfoot trim and the tying is similar to that used in the Primus SwimRun SG, with a round lacing system that closes with tanca, ensuring a quick and accurate fit.

The sole offers a completely redesigned design, with 2.5mm lugs evenly distributed throughout the sole. It is made of PRO5 , a thin, durable and resistant layer, 5x more resistant to punctures than a standard sole of the same thickness; And with an outsole of TRb Rubber , a strong rubber that provides a high resistance to abrasion. The sole climbs on both sides of the shoe to protect the mesh from the top.
The stack height of the sole, taking into account the different layers and the lugs, is 5.5 mm, 8.5 mm if we count the insole. Moreover, as all Vivobarefoot footwear are pure minimalist shoes, very flexible and without drop.
