The Vivobarefoot Tracker Leather AT Low II Women are low-cut leather barefoot boots for walking on trails, wet routes and daily outdoor use with more ankle freedom.
Their Wild Hide leather, All Terrain sole and zero drop give you grip, protection and a natural stride without the stiffness of a traditional high boot.
More path. More mobility. Less rigid boot.
Women’s low-cut leather barefoot boot for light hiking and daily outdoor use
The Vivobarefoot Tracker Leather AT Low II Women is a women’s low-cut barefoot boot designed for walking on trails, dirt paths, rock, wet routes and outdoor days when you want grip and protection, but without wearing a high boot that blocks the ankle.
If you are looking for women’s leather barefoot boots for light hiking, travel, countryside and daily outdoor use, this model has a very clear role within Vivobarefoot: giving more freedom of movement than a classic mountain boot and more protection than a low shoe.
That is its place.
It is not about looking adventurous.
It is about walking better when the ground changes.
The Tracker Leather AT Low II Women combines Wild Hide leather, an All Terrain sole, wide toe box, zero drop and a low construction that leaves the ankle freer. It is a boot for anyone who wants to move naturally, feel the terrain more and avoid that “I have two blocks strapped to my feet” feeling so typical of some outdoor boots.
It protects.
It grips.
But it lets the foot stay a foot.
More ankle freedom for walking with a more natural stride
The low cut is the big difference of the Vivobarefoot Tracker Leather AT Low II Women. It does not cover the ankle like a high Tracker Leather AT II, and that changes the way you move a lot.
The stride feels more agile.
The ankle works with more freedom.
The foot can adapt better on gentle climbs, descents, narrow trails, uneven paths and routes where you do not need a high collar, but still want something more resistant than a lightweight shoe.
This makes it a very interesting option for women who want a leather barefoot boot for walking, travel, light hiking or moving through rural and urban environments without losing natural movement.
It is not a boot designed to immobilise you.
It is a boot designed to accompany you.
And the difference shows when you have been walking for hours. Less stiffness. Less dragging feeling. More ease moving the foot as it should.
Because an outdoor boot should not force you to walk as if you were negotiating with the ground at every step.
Water-resistant, breathable Wild Hide leather with no waterproof membrane
The Tracker Leather AT Low II Women is made with Wild Hide leather, a breathable leather with natural water resistance. And this should be clear from the start: it is not a waterproof boot with a membrane.
It does not try to be.
Its approach is more natural.
The leather offers protection against light moisture, splashes, wet paths, damp grass or changing weather, but without adding an inner membrane that increases insulation and changes the feel of the foot.
This has an important advantage: the boot breathes better and adapts better with use. The leather can take shape, gain character and follow movement in a more organic way than many rigid technical materials.
But it needs to be chosen wisely.
If you are looking for a boot for heavy rain for hours, constant mud or prolonged very wet terrain, you will probably be better off with a Tracker Textile AT II with waterproof membrane. If you are looking for a leather barefoot boot for routes, travel, countryside, damp paths and daily outdoor use, this one fits very well.
It is not a sealed bag.
It is a leather boot designed to let you move more naturally.
All Terrain sole for paths, rock, wet ground and changing routes
The All Terrain sole is another strong point of the Vivobarefoot Tracker Leather AT Low II Women. It combines a 2.5 mm base with 4 mm lugs to provide grip on different surfaces without taking away all the information from the terrain.
And that matters.
Because walking outdoors does not always mean climbing an epic mountain with a documentary soundtrack. Sometimes it is a trail with loose dirt. A descent with stones. A damp path. A rocky section. Or a weekend escape where the ground changes every twenty minutes.
The All Terrain sole is made to give traction in that type of situation. Its updated design helps reduce slipping and improve grip in key areas, while keeping a closer feel to the ground than a traditional boot with a thick, rigid sole.
It is not a mountaineering sole.
It is not for deep snow.
It is not for extreme mud for hours.
It is for light hiking, varied routes, firm paths, dirt, rock and changing terrain. Exactly where an urban shoe falls short and a high boot can feel like too much.
Tracker Leather AT Low II Women compared with Textile AT II, Leather AT II and Primus Trail
The Vivobarefoot Tracker Leather AT Low II Women should not be confused with other outdoor models from Vivobarefoot. Everything may look similar because there is “Tracker”, “AT” and “Trail” everywhere, but each model has its own terrain.
It is not a high Tracker Leather AT II. The high version offers more coverage around the ankle and a more classic barefoot hiking boot feel. The Tracker Leather AT Low II Women is lower, more agile and freer around the ankle.
It is not a Tracker Textile AT II. The Textile AT II uses recycled textile, a vegan construction according to Vivobarefoot and a waterproof membrane. The Leather AT Low II Women uses Wild Hide leather, natural water resistance and a more adaptable, breathable and classic feel.
It is not a Tracker Forest ESC. The Forest ESC is designed for more aggressive terrain, forest, deep countryside and conditions where maximum robustness is needed. The Tracker Leather AT Low II Women is more suitable for light hiking, travel, varied routes, daily outdoor use and paths where you want protection without too much boot.
It is not a Primus Trail. The Primus Trail is a low trail shoe, sportier and lighter for running or moving quickly. The Tracker Leather AT Low II Women is a low leather boot, more protective and with a stronger outdoor lifestyle focus.
That avoids cannibalisation.
If you want a high collar, look at Tracker Leather AT II.
If you want a waterproof membrane and vegan option, look at Tracker Textile AT II.
If you want to run on trails, look at Primus Trail.
If you want a women’s low-cut leather barefoot boot, with grip, mobility and versatile use, this is where this one comes in.
Who these women’s leather barefoot boots are for
The Vivobarefoot Tracker Leather AT Low II Women are for women who want to walk outdoors with more freedom than in a traditional boot and more protection than in a low shoe.
They are for light hiking, rural escapes, travel with changing weather, dirt paths, moderate routes, long walks, urban use on cold days and situations where you need a reliable sole without losing a natural stride.
They are also for anyone who values leather as a material. Not out of nostalgia. Not because “things were better before” and now everything is a drama. But because good leather, properly cared for, adapts, breathes and ages with character.
That said, they are not for everything.
They are not mountaineering boots. They are not for crampons. They are not for deep snow. They are not the best choice for hours of heavy rain. They are also not the coolest option for dry, hot summer weather.
If you want a high and more enclosing boot, it is better to look at the Tracker Leather AT II.
If you want waterproof protection with a membrane, it is better to look at the Tracker Textile AT II.
If you want a low leather boot that is flexible, grippy and has a real barefoot feel, then yes.
A lighter, more flexible and less bulky leather boot
The Tracker Leather AT Low II Women does not try to win through volume. It does not need to look like the most technical boot in the mountain hut or make visual noise to prove it can go into the countryside.
Its value is somewhere else.
In leaving the ankle freer.
In allowing the toes to have space.
In keeping the foot flat with zero drop.
In offering grip without isolating you from the terrain.
And in giving you durable leather that, with care, can accompany you through many routes.
The removable thermal insole adds versatility. You can use it on cold days for more thermal comfort or remove it if you want more internal space and a more direct feel underfoot.
It is a boot for walking without feeling trapped.
For routes that do not call for a high collar.
For days when you want to go out, move, travel or walk on changing terrain with something more serious than a shoe, but without carrying armour on your feet.
More path.
More mobility.
Less block.

Care and maintenance of Vivobarefoot Tracker Leather AT Low II Women
Materials: as they are made with Wild Hide leather, cotton canvas lining, thermal insole and lugged sole, it is best to remove mud, dust or soil after each route with a soft brush. Do not let mud dry for days on the leather or sole.
Care products: to maintain the leather’s water resistance, you can use a specific protector such as Vivobarefoot Repel or a suitable leather product. For regular cleaning, use a dry or slightly damp cloth. Do not use bleach, harsh detergents or strong chemical products.
Remove the insole and let the boots dry at room temperature. Avoid tumble dryers, radiators, direct sunlight and any intense heat source, as this may damage the leather, adhesives and boot structure. After muddy or wet routes, check the sole and lugs to remove accumulated debris.
