A ballet flat can look beautiful.
The problem comes when, after getting used to barefoot footwear, you put one on again and your feet immediately notice the difference.
The Coqueflex Lia are made precisely to avoid that.
A simple, feminine and easy-to-match design, with a 6 mm sole and removable insole.
For those days when you want to dress a little smarter without putting your feet back into a shoe you no longer feel like wearing.
The Coqueflex Lia are women's barefoot ballet flats designed for those who want a smarter-looking shoe without going back to stiff, thick ballet flats or overly structured footwear.
Their design brings back the classic look of women's ballet flats with a bow: clean lines, a low-cut opening and a small front detail that makes them easy to wear with everyday clothes, work outfits or slightly smarter looks.
But there is one important difference underfoot.
The sole is only 6 mm thick. A very slim profile that keeps the Lia visually lightweight and avoids turning a simple ballet flat into a bulky shoe.
Some people are already used to barefoot footwear and have a very specific problem.
With trainers, it's easy.
The difficult part comes when they want to wear tailored trousers, a skirt, a dress or simply dress a little smarter without going back to the conventional footwear they had already left behind.
That's exactly where the Coqueflex Lia make sense.
They deliberately keep things simple. They don't need sporty panels, bulky shapes or a technical appearance to stand out. The focus is on their ballet-flat silhouette and the slim bow positioned over the toe, giving them a classic touch without overloading the design.
This means you can wear them as barefoot ballet flats for everyday use, but also on those occasions when sports trainers simply don't work with the clothes you want to wear.
One of the features that most defines the Coqueflex Lia is precisely something you can barely see.
Their 6 mm sole keeps the shoe slim and close to the ground. There is no visually pronounced heel or platform that completely changes the silhouette of the ballet flat.
They also feature a removable insole. You can take it out to air the inside, clean it separately or simply check the internal space of the shoe more easily.
The upper, lining and sole are identified on the composition label with the diamond symbol. We prefer to describe them this way rather than assign a specific composition that the manufacturer does not specify with another pictogram.
The Coqueflex Lia make particular sense for women who already wear barefoot or foot-friendly footwear and miss having a more understated option for everyday life.
For work. For going out for lunch. With jeans. With smarter trousers. Or simply for those days when you don't want every outfit in your wardrobe to end up paired with trainers.
Their design can also be an interesting first option for anyone looking to move away from traditional ballet flats and who prefers footwear with a low profile and thin sole.
However, they are not designed as sports shoes or as footwear for demanding terrain. If your main use is running, training or hiking, it makes more sense to choose footwear specifically designed for those activities.
The Lia have a different purpose.
To solve something much more everyday: being able to dress the way you want without having to give up the type of footwear you want on your feet.
To find your size, we recommend measuring your foot and clicking on the “Check your size here” link below the size selector.
If you're between two sizes, we recommend choosing the larger one for a more relaxed and natural fit. Your toes should have enough room to move and spread freely.
And if you don't get it right the first time, don't worry: you can easily exchange the size. The process is quick and free if you activate the €1.99 exchange insurance (valid for mainland Spain and the Balearic Islands).

Materials: the upper, lining and sole are identified with the diamond symbol on the composition label. For regular cleaning, first remove dust and surface dirt with a soft cloth and then use a slightly damp cloth if necessary.
Avoid soaking the footwear, using abrasive products or applying direct heat to speed up drying. Allow them to air dry and remove the insole to help ventilate the inside.
