Some boots make you choose.
Either you look good.
Or you feel comfortable.
The Mustang Free Aspen is here to ruin that choice.
On the outside, it looks like a classic lace-up boot. On the inside, it has a wide fit, zero drop, a 5 mm sole and a warm interior.
And because it also has a side zip, you do not have to keep tying and untying the laces every time you leave the house.
Put them on, zip up and go.
You already have enough decisions to make during the day without adding whether your feet are allowed to feel comfortable.
Women's barefoot lace-up boots for autumn and winter
The Mustang Free Aspen is a women's barefoot lace-up boot designed for those who want to keep wearing foot-friendly footwear when the colder months arrive, without having to rely on a sports trainer or a rigid conventional boot.
Its mid-height design has a classic, easy-to-style look, while underneath it keeps the key features you expect from women's barefoot winter boots: a wide toe box, zero drop, flexibility and a sole just 5 mm thick.
That makes a noticeable difference when you walk. The heel is not elevated. Your toes have room to position themselves more freely. And the sole does not turn every step into the movement of a thick, rigid platform.
The Aspen is especially suited to everyday use: work, city wear, walks, travel or any situation where you want a foot-friendly women's boot for daily wear that works with the clothes you already own.
A barefoot winter boot that looks like a traditional boot
This is probably one of the Aspen's biggest strengths.
It does not try to draw attention to the fact that it is barefoot.
Its silhouette resembles a classic women's lace-up boot, with a mid-height shaft and a simple design that works with jeans, corduroy trousers, leggings or almost any casual autumn and winter outfit.
The difference becomes clear when you put it on.
The wide last gives the forefoot more space, helping prevent your toes from having to adapt to a narrow toe box. Its zero-drop design removes the height difference between the heel and forefoot. And the 5 mm sole thickness keeps you much closer to the ground.
That makes the Mustang Free Aspen particularly interesting for women who already wear barefoot footwear in spring and summer and want a more suitable option for continuing through the colder months.
Laces for adjustment. Side zip for getting them on in seconds
A lace-up boot lets you adjust the fit around the instep and ankle.
The problem comes when you have to repeat the entire process every time you leave the house.
The Mustang Free Aspen features a side zip, so you can leave the laces adjusted to your preferred fit and use the zip to put the boots on and take them off quickly.
It is an especially practical solution in a pair of barefoot boots for everyday wear. Adjust them once. After that, unzip, slip your foot in, zip up and get on with your day.
They also include two sets of laces: one flat and one round. It does not change how the boot performs, but it does let you alter the overall look depending on whether you prefer something more distinctive or more classic.
Warm inside so you can keep wearing barefoot when temperatures drop
Winter is often the point when many people go back to conventional footwear.
Not because they want to.
Because they need something warmer.
The Mustang Free Aspen has a warm lining and warm insole, giving it a construction aimed at autumn and winter while maintaining the key characteristics of barefoot footwear.
The insole is made from 100% polyester and is non-removable. The lining combines PU and polyester and is designed to provide a more comfortable feel during colder days.
All of this is combined with an exceptionally thin 5 mm sole, creating something that is not always easy to find: a warm women's barefoot boot that still feels light and flexible.
5 mm sole and zero drop for a more natural stride
A winter boot does not need several centimetres of material underneath your foot to work for city use.
The Aspen uses a 5 mm TPR sole. It is flat and flexible, with the same thickness under the heel and forefoot.
This zero-drop construction avoids the permanently raised heel found in many conventional boots and allows the foot to remain in a more neutral position.
At the same time, the thin sole provides greater sensitivity than a traditional thick sole. Your feet receive more information from the ground and have more freedom to participate in every step.
That is why the Aspen is not trying to compete with technical hiking boots or footwear designed for particularly demanding terrain. Its purpose is much more specific: city wear, work, travel, walking and everyday use throughout autumn and winter.
Who the Mustang Free Aspen is for
The Mustang Free Aspen is especially suited to women looking for barefoot winter boots with a classic and understated appearance.
It is a good choice if you like lace-up boots, want a wider shape and appreciate being able to wear them easily every day thanks to the side zip.
It also makes particular sense if you want to replace the typical rigid, narrow winter boot with an alternative featuring an anatomical toe box, thin sole and zero drop, without having to completely change the way you dress.
It is not, however, a model specifically intended for technical hiking, mountain use or situations where you need specific water-related performance. The Aspen is designed primarily as an urban barefoot boot for women.
And that is exactly where it makes sense.
You can put it on in the morning for work, keep wearing it throughout the afternoon and reach the end of the day without having kept your toes trapped inside the typical narrow shape of a conventional boot.
A vegan design made to become your everyday boot
The upper of the Mustang Free Aspen is made from 100% PU and the sole from 100% TPR. The interior combines PU and polyester, while the insole is made entirely from polyester.
The model also has a vegan composition and PETA-Approved Vegan certification.
But the Aspen is not defined only by a list of materials.
It stands out because it solves a very common situation.
You want to wear barefoot footwear.
It is cold.
And you do not want your only choices to be a sports trainer or a boot that looks as though it was designed exclusively for the mountains.
The Mustang Free Aspen fills exactly that gap: a warm, flexible women's barefoot lace-up boot designed for everyday wear.

My size in Mustang Free Aspen
To find your size, the best option is to measure your foot and click the ‘Check your size here’ link located below the size selector.
If you are between two sizes, we recommend choosing the larger one for a more relaxed and natural fit. Your toes should have enough space to move and spread freely.
And if you do not get it right the first time, that is not a problem: you can easily exchange the size. The process is quick and free if you activate the €1.99 exchange insurance (valid for mainland Spain and the Balearic Islands).

Care and maintenance of Mustang Free Aspen
Materials: the upper of the Mustang Free Aspen is made from PU, while the interior combines PU and polyester and the insole is made from polyester. For regular cleaning, first remove dust and surface dirt with a soft brush or dry cloth, then use a slightly damp cloth when necessary.
Care products: only use products suitable for synthetic materials and always follow the manufacturer's instructions. Avoid products formulated exclusively for natural leather unless they specifically state that they are suitable for PU.
We do not recommend using a washing machine or tumble dryer. After cleaning, leave the Mustang Free Aspen to air dry in the shade, away from radiators and other direct heat sources.
You can find more information about cleaning, care and footwear maintenance in our care and maintenance guide.
