A customer gives us a zero and is so pleased

I’m telling you what happened because this is also part of barefoot.

The kind that requires a head on your shoulders, responsibility, and the ability to say no when needed.

A mother asks about a pair of Merrell Barefoot shoes for her son.

She says he has wide feet.

And of course, if you’ve been around here for a while, you know that Merrells are not the widest model on the market.

It’s explained to her. With data, centimeters, and experience.

And since she had already used Vivo Barefoot and they worked well, we recommend those instead.

Wider. A better choice for her son’s feet.

The result?

Zero stars and zero willingness to understand.

Sometimes, in trying to do good, you end up being the villain.

And in some cases, being the villain has its charm.

But this time... just frustration. The kind that sticks.

They say the customer is always right.

Not always.

Some customers are wrong. And some, besides being wrong, drag others down with them.

Because what would you do if, after several days of use, with the elastic laces cut and the shoes caked in mud, someone tells you they want to return them?

Normally, you’d say no.

But…

We live in the Amazon era, where anything goes.

I return even sweaty socks if I feel like it.

After all, Amazon won’t pay for it—someone else will.

But at ZaMi, that “whatever, who cares” doesn’t fly.

Because it does matter.

Because I’m not going to send that model back to the manufacturer as if it were defective.

I could get away with it, sure.

But I won’t.

It’s not my style.

We play fair, or we don’t play at all.

Yavestruz… How easy it would have been for the customer to just exchange the model before using it.

Or return it.

We’ve spent years helping thousands of people find their ideal shoes.

Hours and hours of personalized advice.

We handle exchanges, returns, and all kinds of questions every single day.

But if you ruin the shoes and then expect us or the brand to take the hit... well, that’s a no.

Because barefoot isn’t just about walking freely—it’s about being more consistent, using your head.

Alright.

I had to say it.

And since today we’re talking about Merrell for kids…

Let me show you a model that’s seriously amazing.

A perfect summer pick.

Tough, flexible, great grip, and ideal for getting wet and enjoying the outdoors.

Want to do your kid’s feet a favor?

Check the size chart and let this summer be one with real shoes.

The barefoot kind.

The good ones.
