Where do I put the orthotic insole in summer?

Posted on10 Months ago by 5000

The question that never fails every summer is:

- Antonio, so where do I put the insole now?

- You can’t use them with sandals.

Exactly.

Sandals are not designed for that.

But listen, this is not a problem, it’s an opportunity.

Use summer to break free.

Yes, you read that right.

Summer is the best time to say goodbye to orthopaedic insoles.

The heat invites you to go lighter, freer, and the best shoes for that are sandals.

So you can use it to give your feet what they’ve been asking for: mobility, contact and freedom.

Got plantar fasciitis pain? Even more reason.

Because that pain won’t go away if you don’t tackle the cause.

And the cause, as I mentioned in the previous post, is a foot that’s compressed, immobilised and disconnected from its natural function.

The solution? Go barefoot as much as you can.

At home, on the sand, on the grass, on the terrace. Wherever.

And when you can’t go barefoot…

Barefoot sandals. But careful… not flip-flops.

Flip-flops NO.

Sandals YES.

Flip-flops are what they sell in supermarkets, those that don’t hold your foot at the back and you have to grip with your toes.

And do you know what happens when your foot isn’t well supported?

You grip with your toes to not lose the flip-flop.

You walk awkwardly, compensating.

Your fascia, already inflamed, gets even more stressed.

So, if you’ve got plantar fasciitis, flip-flops are fuel on the fire.

That’s why, if you want to look after your feet this summer, you need a sandal with support, protection and freedom of movement.

No platforms, no weird reinforcements, no insoles.

Your foot wants to work, not retire.

My 3 barefoot recommendations for this summer:

  • Zauri Centur. Ultra-lightweight, perfect to train your feet without giving up protection.

It’s not magic. It’s giving the body what it needs.

And in this case, that’s space, movement and awareness with every step.

Start your barefoot transition this summer and say goodbye to insoles.

Don’t say I didn’t tell you.

Efectiviwonder.

Health starts in your feet.

Antonio Caballo.
