A proud volleyball chive grandma

What this woman is telling hides a very valuable lesson.

It has to do with buffering. There are two of them.

A very obvious one, the one that some shoes come with. They've only been with us for 40 years, even if it seems like they've been with us for a lifetime.

The other is less visible, but much more important, the one we are born with, the intelligent cushioning formed by the whole:

  • Feet
  • Knees
  • and Hip

And although we are in the midst of the development of Artificial Intelligence, I can confirm without fear of contradiction that the complex movements that humans are capable of will be very difficult for machines to imitate.

You will see.

This woman's email goes like this:

'I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your attention.

With these are already 4 pairs of minimalist shoes and I am delighted.

At the time when I spoke to Angel I didn't have anyone who wore them to play volleyball.

I'll tell you my experience in case it's useful for you.

I've been training volleyball twice a week since September with the Xero 360 shoes and they are great.

I'm a setter so I don't jump much, but when I do it doesn't affect me.

I train with the Xero's and toe braces on.

Only for league matches do I use another shoe for performance reasons, an Asis, which were the widest I could find.

For my 45 heels the Xero's have allowed me to keep playing and forget about the pain completely.

Your customer service is one of the best I've seen. 1000 thanks for that.

A big hug, Silvana,

A proud grandmother of volleyball.'

Good.

She jumps and she does it with the cushioning of her legs. The minimalist shoes they wear don't have that.

The cushioned shoes with a drop, (the Nike's of the moment) make you fall badly, on your heel, and that part of your body is not prepared to absorb the impact.

If you don't believe me, you can see for yourself.

Stand up, take a jump and land on your heels.

(From here I can feel the impact going up to your head).

Now jump again, but land on the front of your foot, just behind your toes.

Have you noticed how your feet, knees and hips flex? Their function is to cushion your jump.

That's what Silvana does, jumping and cushioning with her legs.

That's what they are there for.

And the best thing is not that the pain is gone, the most important thing is that she can keep moving, playing, dancing or jumping.

Because if youth has a name, it's Movement.

It is what allows us to enjoy life. To feel it in all its fullness.

That's why Silvana feels young despite being a grandmother.

that's why I'm telling you all this,

because movement starts with your feet, yours, your children's and your parents'.

And that's why I can only recommend minimalist shoes.

Because they are the only ones that don't affect your movements.

A shoe

light,

flexible,

flat,

and wide.

So that Silvana can continue to be a proud volleyball grandmother.

And for you to go along with her.

Volleyball, gym, crossfit, athletics.

Dancing, jumping, walking.
